This song rocks. Nostalgia, regret, melancholy - all terrific things for a ballad that really wants to tug at the ol’ heart strings.

Topped the charts in 36 countries, held the US Billboard #1 for 10 consecutive weeks, broke the YouTube VEVO record for most views in 24 hours (27.7M) and THEN broke the YouTube record for quickest time to a billion (with a B) views in 87 days.

Oh, and it inspired one of the most fantastic SNL skits, linked below. I can’t watch the original video without seeing Aidy Bryant getting blown over into the leaves in that goofy fur coat 😂
