This song is great, and I like all of its covers (such as Michael Bublé’s) but nothing touches the original.

The Phil Spector sound is unmistakable in the original, but instead of trying to recreate that, I went with a ballad-esque approach instead. I hope you like it, I definitely feel like I could have spent weeks perfecting the editing if I had the time 😉

If you didn’t know, Darlene Love appeared many times on David Letterman performing this song to kick off the Christmas season, AND Rolling Stone named it the #1 Best Rock and Roll Christmas song in 2010 due to Ms. Love’s sheer vocal power.
