I’ll be honest - this is not my favorite cover. I adore this song but couldn’t quite work it out to my level of satisfaction. There’s some bum notes in the solo, the energy is subdued, and honestly the three verse/no chorus structure isn’t my favorite.

And yet, I’m super pleased with the outcome. Considering this was the first song I ever learned on guitar, I like that it still challenges me as I move it to keys many years later. It somehow put me back to a beginners mind and I think that’s worthwhile every time it happens.

I’m more than happy to put this video out there as a reminder to myself that doing the thing and sharing it is always more important than unobtainable perfection. Whatever you like to do, just go do it and show the world. Like, yesterday. 😉
